It's not simply drag and drop, it's drag and drop then deal with all the bugs at the time and try and find a solution to get it to work the way you want using the paid for editor. You actually need to be pretty advanced understanding what's going on with the blocks and get them to work correctly. On first look YEP! easy peasy!!! however this is far beyond easy when you drill down in to it. It's actually putting me off using Mobirise for all my new sites at the moment (especially with the bugs).Īlso advertising Mobirise as being easy to use may be misleading too. However I'm sure some are and can see whats displaying in the code. Most of my clients are non coders so would not know this is happening. However when I pay for add on's and themes the code links back to Mobirise simply should not be there. It's FREE after all, so they need to do this advertising their product. I definitely think that in the FREE version - then YES - it's fine for Mobirise to advertise in the html code. Without detriment to the great work done by the developers of Mobirise that I follow from the beginning. Having to use code editors to clean up all this spam seems like a setback we could save. It is to include an advertisement of a company that offers its services for free and is not the case as we have paid for its use, this fact may confuse our customers with what Mobirise becomes a tool for individuals only.īy conclusion, my company limits the use of this type of tools with the consequent deterioration of the image of Mobirise. When I upload a web page professionally created by me it is not only Mobirise's merit to indicate in the header that it is a page created by Mobirise. If it were otherwise the codes of websites be full of hidden URLs. None of the tools my company uses to build web pages has what Mobirise, no one embeds a URL in your code when you pay for their use, even competing companies with Mobirise. There are many tools that are used to build a professional web and a professional web page is a set of features among photos, videos designs, external codes, iframes, texts, etc. Mobirise is one more tool to build a web page. Mobirise is breaking all the rules when it comes to link webspam and hurting its reputation. I guarantee you, this is definitely hurting the Mobrise brand. The real issue is that we are giving Mobirise credit willingly, whenever we can, but you are still using the "They are Lazy Designers, that's why they use our software, Let's force our link on them." attitude, which is not only against Google search engine guidelines (by imposing your link on others through all this web spam crap), but is creating issues for the Mobirise brand. The Generator meta tag has no redeeming value, what-so-ever, not even for the Mobirise website or product, it is an extremely low-level meta tag that isn't supported by any engine what-so-ever and is only used as a means of webspam.Comments should never be generated by an editor. They shove the real content further down the page. But the comment, the generator tags are pure web spam. Yes, some people will know where the design originated. But it sure did have me going for a few DAYS.The mbr- thing isn't an issue, it is simply an identifer. I haven't had any problems since things finally started working again. and just backed up with the project files on multiple drives when I'm 'done' with a site, and remove it from 'my list' when I'm done with that one. though they 'say UNLIMITED' - it seems that more than about a dozen seems to be a problem.Īnyhow, I've been keeping my 'list' of active websites low. There seems to be some issue when TOO MANY websites are 'loaded. THEN try to reload YOUR WEBSITES that yo are STILL WORKING ON. Then using your 'keys' - reload your themes and extensions. and this time CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD when you get it. Re-download the latest version of mobirise (I'm using 4.5.3) - and re-install. Go back into CCleaner - and verify the program and registry are clean of mobi rise. then with CCleaner, look through the registry and system for any OTHER MENTIONS of the mobirise program files, and remove them. Some have claimed that worked for them, it didn't for me. If you can start Mobirise - with any theme, try logging out - then back in.
